Mr. Belding Interview

belding&team_full.jpg

He may have been born Dennis Haskins, but there’s just one name to call my guest from today — Mr. Belding.

Mr.
Richard Belding — the character known and loved on one of the
most-popular teen shows ever — Saved By The Bell, was on-hand at
FirstEnergy Stadium on Wednesday to meet and greet the fans, and sing
karaoke.

Mr.-Belding_full_1.jpgThe
fans flocked to the Classic Cafe to see him sing, and he certainly put
on a show. He sang three songs, and then threw out a first pitch,
talked and met the entire team in the clubhouse before the game, signed
hundreds of autographs, sang the seventh inning
stretch, spoke on-air with Brian Seltzer for one full inning
on the R-Phils Radio Network, and even made an appearance in the
post-game interview — was there anything he didn’t do?

Fans, players, and staff members were treated to a night they will never forget —

and well for me, it was a moment to relive my childhood, one in which was spent watching Save By The Bell for hours on end.

Thank you Mr. Belding for a great night in Reading Phillies history!
